What is Propolis?

The Brazilian propolis produced by Africanized bees is composed by a mixture of wax and resins and has a great variety of colors and consistence. Bees collect Propolis from various parts of the plants like rind of trees, sprout and flower bud. The honeybees apply it around its hives to provide defense mechanism against pathogens, whereby with today's technology, we are able to extract the active ingredients suitable for human use and act as an immune system booster.

The excellence of Brazilian Green Propolis

The quality of Propolis is determined by its concentration and varieties of Flavonoids - which is its active ingredients. These valuable, potent ingredients are collected and extracted from plants and vegetations available to the bees. In Brazil, the honeybees enjoy a wealth of rain forests as its Propolis resources, with more than 20,000 types of plants available for collection, thereby producing the highest quality of Propolis.

Supercritical Fluid Extraction

Extraction plays a vital role in terms of quality of the products. Most manufacturers prefer economical ways by using Alcoholic or Glycerin extractions. Here we utilize pressurized and liquidized CO2 to extract our Propolis, a process known as the Supercritical Fluid Extraction, which is widely utilized in the Coffee and Flagrance industry.

Using liquid CO2 as our solvent, we are able to achieve high purity and low chemical reaction for our end products as CO2 is extremely stable, is odorless, and does not react with any organic substances.
